The lithium chloride evaporation sodium precipitation system and the lithium chloride evaporation crystallization, separation and drying system designed and produced by our company are nearing the end of installation recently.
The system is applied to the production of industrial grade anhydrous lithium chloride by ore method. The previous process roasting, acidification, leaching to obtain lithium sulfate solution, lithium sulfate solution using calcium chloride method, and calcium chloride reaction to remove sulfate to obtain lithium chloride solution containing a small amount of sodium chloride. The lithium chloride solution is first concentrated by evaporation to increase the concentration of lithium chloride and precipitate sodium chloride. The obtained concentrated solution of lithium chloride is evaporated and crystallized at high temperature, separated and dried to obtain anhydrous lithium chloride product. This method produces a large amount of gypsum dihydrate, and the treatment of the by-products is a difficult problem.
Anhydrous lithium chloride produced by spodumene can also be produced by sodium chloride method. Lithium sulfate solution and sodium chloride solution are mixed according to a certain concentration and proportion. The mixed solution is frozen to remove sulfate, and a small amount of sulfate is removed by barium chloride. The solution after the removal of impurities is then evaporated to form sodium to obtain a lithium chloride purification solution. The purified liquid is then crystallized by evaporation, dried, and separated to obtain anhydrous lithium chloride. This method by-produces anhydrous sodium sulfate and a small amount of barium sulfate.
