Characteristics of ternary precursor disc dryer

The ternary precursor disc dryer is a new type of conductive drying equipment, which has the advantages of continuous operation, closed operation, high evaporation intensity, reasonable humidity gradient distribution, low power consumption, and small footprint. At the same time, its configuration is simple, does not need the cyclone dust collector that must be configured for air flow drying, and does not use hot air as a heating medium, so that product loss caused by poor separation of hot air and dust with tail gas entrainment will not occur.

The ternary precursor disc dryer is composed of a drying disc, a rake arm, a number of rake blades installed on the rake arm, a main shaft, a transmission device, a shell, etc., and a heating medium (heat transfer oil or steam) is introduced into the hollow drying disc. The drying tray is arranged horizontally in the dryer. The drying tray is stationary. The material is pushed and moved by rake leaves on the surface of the tray. During the movement, it is heated by the drying tray to carry out heat and mass transfer to complete the drying operation. The number of layers (drying area) of the drying tray is determined according to the output, nature, initial and final water content of the dried material.

The characteristics of the ternary precursor disc dryer:

(1) Continuous operation, high thermal efficiency. The ternary precursor disc dryer dries by conduction and heat transfer. During the drying process, only a very small amount of (or no) air is introduced into the dryer, and its tail gas carrying amount is very small, so its thermal efficiency can reach more than 65%.

(2) Low power consumption and low noise. Because the material layer is very thin in the drying process, the spindle speed is low, the power required for the material transfer system is small, and the power consumption is very small. The power consumption of the full set of drying device is only 1/5~1/7 of the power consumption of the convection heat transfer device, and the noise is very small.

(3) The material is heated evenly and the drying time is short. During the drying process, the material rolls forward along the Archimedes spiral trajectory in the drying tray, and the distance traveled by the material is 5 times the radius of the drying tray and falls layer by layer, so the material contacts the surface of the heating tray for basically the same time and is heated evenly.

(4) Small material loss and good environmental protection. During the drying process, the materials go in and out, the distribution of the materials is wet and dry, and the flow rate of the dry tail gas is extremely low (about 0.1 m/s), so the material dust is difficult to float to the top of the equipment, and will not be carried away by the tail gas, which not only does not lose the materials, but also does not pollute the environment.

(5) The equipment is closed and operated continuously, and the labor intensity of workers is low.

(6) Easy installation and small footprint. Due to the layer-by-layer arrangement and vertical installation of the drying tray, even if the drying area is large, the floor area is small.

(7) Safety and environmental protection. Drying medium can be produced by electric heating heat conduction oil furnace heat conduction oil medium, environmental pollution-free, higher safety than the boiler, steam system.

(8) Product quality is stable. Due to the use of disc continuous drying method, the material is heated evenly, and the product quality can be guaranteed.
