Yanming Equipment Conducts Monthly Internal Safety Inspections to Fortify the Safety Line in Equipment Manufacturing
Recently, in strict accordance with its monthly safety management plan, Yanming Equipment organized and carried out internal safety inspections. Focusing on key areas such as fire safety, production safety, and equipment/facility safety, the company conducted a comprehensive inspection of potential safety hazards within its equipment manufacturing plant to firmly uphold the bottom line of safe production.
Before the official launch of the inspections, the leadership of Yanming Equipment first held a mobilization meeting to emphasize the importance of safe production for the enterprise’s development. “Safety is the prerequisite for production and operation, admitting no negligence whatsoever. All staff must attach great importance to this inspection, and conduct a check on every detail with a ‘zero-tolerance’ attitude to ensure there are no safety blind spots in the plant,” the leadership stated. This speech clarified the standards and requirements for the inspection, further reminding all participants to stay alert about safety.
Subsequently, the inspection team conducted a full-range inspection in various areas of Yanming Equipment’s plant:
In the area of fire safety, it focused on checking whether fire-fighting equipment was in good condition and functional, whether evacuation routes were unobstructed, and whether emergency lighting facilities were working properly;
In the aspect of production safety, it carefully verified the implementation of production operation procedures and the proper wearing of safety protective equipment by employees;
In terms of equipment and facility safety, it inspected one by one the operating status of production equipment, maintenance records, and whether the safety protection devices of specialized equipment were complete.
During the inspection, the team identified two key issues requiring attention:
There were water-prone areas on the west side of Yanming Equipment’s plant. In case of rainy weather, these areas might lead to slippery floors, which not only easily cause employees to slip but also potentially affect the normal operation of surrounding equipment;
There were potential safety hazards in the raw material storage area of Yanming Equipment. Some raw materials were stacked beyond the specified length, failing to meet safe storage standards, thus posing risks such as collisions.
In response to these two hazards, the inspection team immediately clarified the responsible departments and rectification timeframes on the spot. It ordered Engineer Li, the EHS (Environment, Health, and Safety) supervisor, to complete the drainage improvement of the water-prone areas and the standardized placement of raw materials within the deadline. Additionally, dedicated personnel were arranged to follow up on the rectification and acceptance work to ensure closed-loop management of the hazards.
At the final stage of the inspection, Xu Yanguo, General Manager of Yanming Equipment, summarized the inspection work. He pointed out that this inspection was not only a review of the monthly safety work but also an early warning of potential risks. “From the inspection results, the overall safety management situation in the plant is sound, but there are still loopholes in details. This reminds us that safety work is an ongoing task,” General Manager Xu Yanguo emphasized. He required all departments to take this inspection as an opportunity to further strengthen safety awareness among all employees: on the one hand, strictly implement the requirements for hazard rectification to prevent the recurrence of similar issues; on the other hand, conduct regular self-safety inspections, enhance employee safety training, and integrate the safety concept into every link of production and operation. By doing so, the company will effectively fortify the safety “protective net” in the equipment manufacturing industry and provide solid support for the stable development of Yanming Equipment.
This monthly safety inspection not only promptly eliminated the potential safety hazards of Yanming Equipment but also strengthened the safety responsibility awareness of all departments. In the future, Yanming Equipment will continue to adhere to the monthly safety inspection system and provide protection for its equipment manufacturing production through regular and refined safety management. As of the time of publication, the two potential safety hazards have been properly addressed.
