Material characteristics:
Mesophase carbon microbeads are micron-sized spherical carbon materials formed by thermal condensation polymerization of asphalt compounds during heat treatment to generate anisotropic mesophase small spheres and separated from the asphalt matrix. It is mainly used in lithium-ion battery anode materials, composite materials, activated carbon microspheres and other industries.
The mesophase carbon microbead material contains wet components of washing oil (or toluene, etc.), with a specific gravity of about 600 kg/m and loose fine powder. The oil content before drying is about 35% ~ 40%, and the oil content after drying is about 0.5. Boiling point of wash oil is 230 ℃ ~ 260 ℃.
Special drying process:
Because the material drying has the following characteristics and requirements: the wet part is washing oil, which needs to be recycled, and the boiling point of washing oil is relatively high; The evaporation process of washing oil will cause agglomeration of materials; Good operating environment is required; The material stays in the dryer for a long time; The material is easy to catch fire when it meets air during the drying process; The washing oil in the tail gas needs to be recovered, etc, for many years, no suitable equipment can be better applied to the drying of this material.

The intermediate phase carbon microspheres containing washing oil transported from the previous process are continuously and quantitatively added into the closed disc continuous dryer by a special broken bridge quantitative feeder for drying operation, and the material completes the heat and mass transfer process in the flow process to achieve the purpose of drying. Dried materials are discharged from the discharge port at the bottom of the dryer into a special cooler for cooling and then packaged. Wash oil vapor escaping from the materials is discharged from the dryer's wet discharge port. After dust removal by special dust removal equipment, the non-condensable gas is emptied, and the wash oil is cooled and recycled. The whole system is closed and not exposed to air, and special measures are taken to ensure the safe operation of the whole system.
Process characteristics:
Continuous operation, high thermal efficiency. Since the closed disc continuous dryer is dried by conduction heat transfer, air is not allowed in the dryer during the drying process, and its tail gas carrying capacity is very small, so its thermal efficiency can reach more than 85%;
② Less material loss and good operating environment. In the drying of mesophase carbon microspheres in the closed disc continuous dryer, because the materials go in and out, the distribution of the materials is wet and dry, and the flow rate of the drying tail gas is extremely low (about 0.1 m/s), the material dust is difficult to float to the top of the equipment, and is rarely carried away by the tail gas, which not only does not lose the materials, but also does not pollute the environment, thus meeting the requirements of environmental protection;
③ Equipment closed operation, solvent recovery thoroughly. The entire drying and cooling system is closed, and the exhaust gas adopts a specially designed dust collector, which can recover more than 99.9% of the solvent;
The use of special structural design to prevent air from entering the drying system, thus avoiding the occurrence of safety problems such as fire inside the equipment due to the entry of air during the drying process;
⑤ The equipment is highly adjustable, and the material drying is uniform and adjustable. The effect of material drying can be conveniently adjusted by adjusting the speed of equipment, the flow rate of heat transfer oil, the temperature of heat transfer oil, the angle of rake leaves, the amount of material added and the number of drying plates used in the continuous disc dryer;
⑥ Before drying, the wet materials have poor fluidity, and the regular feeder will have the phenomenon of material bridging.
